                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED NORTHWEST FROM FAIRVIEW AVENUE, BETWEEN
                   M. L. KING BOULEVARD AND EAST 10TH STREET, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located northwest from Fairview Avenue,
         between M. L. king Boulevard and East 10th Street, more
         particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached
         hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
        
                   A 10-foot-wide alleyway beginning on the
                northwest line of Fairview Avenue 244.4 feet
                southwest of the intersection of the northwest line
                of Fairview Avenue with the southwest line of M. L.
                King Boulevard, thence southwest 10 feet with
                Fairview Avenue, thence northwest 120 feet, thence
                northeast 54.7 feet to the southwest line of a
                20-foot alleyway, thence southeast 10 feet with
                said 20-foot alleyway, thence southwest 41.7 feet,
                thence southeast some 4.33 feet, thence southeast
                107 feet to the northwest line of Fairview Avenue,
                the point of beginning.  Said alleyway separates
                lots 1-4 from lot 6, Waterhouse's Subdivision, of
                Lots 89, 90, 91, and 92, Park Place, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 5, page 39, ROHC.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
